Refund Policy

PaleDot Equipment Refund & Returns Policy

1. General Policy & Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind. However, we are fully compliant with Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which guarantees that you are entitled to a refund or replacement for a major failure or compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure if the goods are:

  • Significantly different from the description or sample shown to you.

  • Substantially unfit for their normal purpose and cannot be easily fixed within a reasonable time.

  • Unsafe.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Eligibility for Returns (Change of Mind)

For purchases returned due to change of mind, we offer a refund or exchange provided the following conditions are met:

30 days from the date of delivery.

Must be in its original, resaleable condition. All tags, packaging, and instructional materials must be intact and unopened/unused.

Commercial & Factory Equipment

14 days from the date of delivery.

Must be unopened in its original, sealed manufacturer's packaging. Items that have been installed, used, or removed from sealed packaging are generally not eligible.

Clearance/Sale Items

Not eligible for return or refund for change of mind.

3. Return Process
  1. Contact Us: Before returning any item, you must contact our Customer Service team at admin@paledotengineering.com.au to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.

  2. Packaging: Clearly mark the outside of the package with the RMA number. Items must be securely packaged to prevent damage during return transit.

  3. Shipping: The customer is responsible for ALL shipping costs for change-of-mind returns. We request using a trackable shipping service. We are not responsible for items lost in transit.

  4. Inspection: Once the return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

4. Refund Details
  • Refund Method: All refunds will be processed back to the original payment method (e.g., credit card, PayPal, bank account).

  • Timeframe: Please allow [7-10] business days after the item is approved for the refund to be processed and funds to reflect in your account.

  • Deductions: Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a faulty or incorrectly supplied product.

5. Faulty or Damaged Goods (Warranty)

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, or is not fit for its intended purpose:

  1. Immediate Notification: You must notify us within [48 hours] of delivery with photographic or video evidence of the fault.

  2. Remedy: We will cover the return shipping costs and offer a choice of a full refund, replacement, or repair as required under ACL.

  3. Warranty: Faults appearing after use are covered under the standard manufacturer's warranty. Please contact us to begin the warranty claim process.
